Custom natural marble statue | Life-size stone sculpture
Sometimes, a work of art may be as famous for the work time did on it as the work of the artist themselves. The famous Winged Victory of Samothrace, a striking winged interpretation of the Greek goddess Nike, the embodiment of victory, bent forward as if to charge ahead, is notoriously missing its head and arms… and this has seeped into the fabric of the work’s effect on viewers.
